Kirkland 5k on Mother's Day

On Mother's Day - ran/walked in the Kirkalnd half marathon/5K race- I did a great job - i ran more this time around than I have in awhile.
It was great - as I was walking up the 100th st Hill there was a gal that started chatting with me as we went up the hill (her name was Sarah also) after awhile we spilt up and she beat me in and she and her sister waited for me to cross - it was great to meat people there since I was not with my normal race group and I could not hear/see my dad who came to watch. Thanks Sarah -

Tulip Run - I RAN Lots

On Saturday 4/11 I walk/ran the 2 mile Tulip run in Burlington. This time I did it alone as the Bradeens were busy. Since starting doing the 5K races this year I have tried to set myself a new goal each time I start a race. This time I set my self the go that I would pick out a person that I was going to try and beat across the finish. My other goal was to walk at a very strong pace and to run about every 10 minutes for a short distance. Well I reached both my goals. During my first run stint I passed the person I picked to beat and then Ii just kept picking a new person or group and I beat every single one that I set my self to beat.

My Final time was 37:59

Here are a few pictures my mom took. Thanks Mom

I graduated from FPU Yahoooooooo!!!!!

Last night I graduated from Dave Ramsey's Fincial Peace University. I have been taking a 13 week course working to get my finances under control.

I am so excited to get things going and to get all my debts paid off. :)

The best part of the class is that my dad says that he is proud of me for taking control of things.

Mercer Island 5K for Colon Cancer

On Sunday March 22nd - I Walked/Ran a 5K for Colon Cancer in Mercer Island. I am gettin better at keeping up the pace, and while I did not beat my time from the week before I was still only a few seconds over an hour.

I even ran down a long hill - I just kept telling myself that if I can just make it to the bottom of the hill I can walk for awhile. The start of the race was very very full of people and hard to get a good pace started but once i was able to break away from the pack i set a pretty good pace and i checked around for some one in the group to try and beat to the end and I did it.

Here are a few pictures that I am very proud of.

Finaghty's St Paddy's day 5K run

Yesterday I joined some great famliy friends in running/walking another 5K in Snoqualime Ridge. I have done a few 5K's in the last few months and most of them have been fairly flat with only a few hills. but the Finaghty's St Paddy's day run was very very hilly-

Before the race started -
After the Race - with a cocco at Starbucks
There were 5 of us that started out together - 2 were going to run the whole thing the rest of us were going to walk/run the course, the first hill was about 100 yards into the course and I thought to myself "Oh MY HECK" what did I get myself into. It was also pouring down rain and freezing cold....
The Sag wagon was collecting the cones as I passwd them - someday I will not be the last one to cross the line.Yes I even ran the last little bit

I was very last to cross the finsih line BUT - I did it my time was 1 hour and 20 seconds - The time on the clock was 1 hour and 45 seconds but my chip time was 1 hour and 20 seconds... Yahoo I am glad I did this and finished

My Little Kodie Bear

When I moved out of my mom's place in September I got a baby. Ok it was a little Kitten. The story goes, my roommate and I wanted to get kittens together so that they could be buddies. When she was in Montana her aunt said she could bring home a kitten for me since I wanted a Orange one, and then I would find one for her to have.
So I went to Craigs List and found some kittens that were 8 weeks old and ready to go. I went with a friend to pick out a kitten and all she had were black ones, so I told my roommate she could keep the kittie she had and I would keep this one.
After many days of trying to figure out a what to name my new little bitty kittie, (some choices were Pip, Boo, and Itty Bitty - I finally settled on Kodie.

He was so little when i got him that we think that he was really only 3 weeks old when I got him. He has been such a great addition to my life and makes coming home a joy. He sleeps in the crook of my arm every night.

Over the last few months he has gotten very big - he is almost as big as his buddie Ollie.
About 3 months old

Halloween - yes I stuck him in the Pumpkin

The Saga of the bed frame

Last September I went to Ikea and bought a new bed frame that was nice (cheap) bed frame - and after I got it put to gether with my roommates help - I put the box spring on and found out that the box spring I have was 4 inches to long :( - so I took it back.

For my birthday this year she said that she would by me a new frame with in reason. So after the debacle of last time I actually mesured my mattress, and I have the most crazy bed in the world - width wise it is a Double/Full bed but Lengthwise it is a Queen.

So after figuring out that I have the craziest luck in the world - my mom and I went on a journey to check out the local furniture stores that were going out of buisness, they all had very nice beds but WAY to much $, so we went to IKEA where i had found a bed that I like and one the I would settle for. But after going to the AS IS section we found the exact bed that I wanted for much much less, I will use the head board for now and when I can afford a new mattress I will get the right size and use the whole bed frame. Hear are a couple pictures of the new head board.
