The Saga of the bed frame

Last September I went to Ikea and bought a new bed frame that was nice (cheap) bed frame - and after I got it put to gether with my roommates help - I put the box spring on and found out that the box spring I have was 4 inches to long :( - so I took it back.

For my birthday this year she said that she would by me a new frame with in reason. So after the debacle of last time I actually mesured my mattress, and I have the most crazy bed in the world - width wise it is a Double/Full bed but Lengthwise it is a Queen.

So after figuring out that I have the craziest luck in the world - my mom and I went on a journey to check out the local furniture stores that were going out of buisness, they all had very nice beds but WAY to much $, so we went to IKEA where i had found a bed that I like and one the I would settle for. But after going to the AS IS section we found the exact bed that I wanted for much much less, I will use the head board for now and when I can afford a new mattress I will get the right size and use the whole bed frame. Hear are a couple pictures of the new head board.

My Goals for this new year

On of my goals this year is to work on me as a person - At my weight watchers meeting this last week we did an excersie that had us review the past year and to also look forward- so below is my review and outlook- The above picture was taken on Christmas - 310.8 lbs

My 2008 Weight Loss Year in Review
I am feeling most proud of joining the gym and completing two 5K’s – The jingle Bell Run and the Resolution Run.
A great way I found to manage my emotions is - to write about what I am feeling. Also going to the gym and working out.
I’m proud I handled setbacks by remembering – that this is journey and I can only get better if I go forward
The most important thing I learned is – that I love myself enough to have gotten my self back to WW – and I am trying to apply that to the rest of my life.
I am really glad I discovered – that I am worth it
Winning Outcomes For 2009
My #1 2009 is to create a new me
The most important thing to do every week is writing down everything & drink more water.
The #1 thing to continue is - to drinking more water
The #1 thing to do differently is - to not create my own plan
The Helpful Habit I will improve is – learn from experience
What needs to happen for these to become a reality is – to stay conscience
My 2009 commitment to myself and my movement to a healthy weight is that I will not give up on my journey because I am worth it. This is a journey that only I can take – but I will make it the best journey that I can.

Happy New Year - Resolution Run

Today I did the Resolution 5K Run with Doug and Yvonne. I did rather well 1hr and 2 min. I feel real good about it - Yvonne walked the whole way with me it was good - even though we were the last people that came in - i really feel good about doing.
After words we went to Tom and Nancy's condo and took showers, then mom and the 3 of us all went to lunch on the waterfront. I am going to start doing a walk at about once a month. The next one is in February.
